Food Fun for April Fool’s Day

Tip 335

Real Fake Food

from Clipart.com

April 1st is almost here and you can’t skip doing some fun pranks on your sweetie (or at least your kids with your sweetie in on the fun).

Check out some of these websites for fun with food served to make people think they are getting one thing (maybe mashed potatoes and gravy) but it’s not what it seems (scoop of yogurt with caramel sauce).

How about sushi that is actually Rice Krispies nuggets? Have you thought of serving Cashew Chicken Stir-Fry, but when people dig in they discover it’s fruit roll-ups, cashews, and apples?

For breakfast if your mate likes soft boiled eggs, for a switch try the recipe from Gourmet Magazine for “soft boiled eggs” (lemon pudding). If your mate is more into bagel sandwiches for breakfast or lunch, try these (donut sandwiches)  instead.

Have some fun this one time of year—or if you are particularly naughty, you might try it several times throughout the year when there’s no warning of it being April Fool’s Day!

What do you think? What would you like to do for an April Fool’s prank?
