Having Fun in Marriage

from Clipart.com

If you are the person in your relationship who seems to do most all the work to make your mate’s life special or do all the work to create that fun, loving marriage most people would like to have, do you:

  • Remind your mate of all the special things you do for him or her
  • Tell your mate that it’s his or her turn to do something nice for you
  • Gloat about how good you treat him or her
  • Decide you are doing nothing else special until your mate does something for you
  • Suffer in silence because your mate never does anything loving or different from the everyday hum-drum for you
  • Quit planning events, date nights, outings because they never work out anyway?

What do you think? How do you think the above situations should be handled?

We make sure every night that we tell each other 3 things that we appreciate about each other. I feel this encourages your spouse to want to do things to please you each day because they really feel like you appreciated what they did. Even if it’s just taking out the trash!

That’s an outstanding tip in itself! Thanks for mentioning it.
