Bring Out the Wild for Fun Marriages

from Clipart.com

Another fun idea for you and your spouse if you love being around animals is to check to see how close you are to a preserve for wild animals. There are quite a few around the country, although we’ve only been to one, Keepers of the Wild, in our own state.

These places are sanctuaries to protect exotic (and some common but wild animals) which have been abused in circuses, homes, or zoos which were not run reputably. The animals are not in confined cages but have their own terrains to feel more normalized. They are showered with compassion and love–in a way appropriate for a wild animal.

If you volunteer at a place such as Keepers of the Wild, you will not be permitted to work directly with the animals at first. However, there are plenty of ways volunteers can help. After a period of time and training, you can possibly do some attending to the wild animals if you are adept to their system at this program.

It’s a way to have no-cost fun in your marriage many times throughout the year—spring, summer, fall, and winter.

What do you think? How would you feel about sharing your time to help exotic but neglected wild animals? Fun? Or too scary?
