Gift Buying 201

Some people have a hard time buying gifts or coming up with creative ways to provide a gift.

from Clipart.com

There are few rules in gift giving. The main thing is to try to give something from the heart that your mate would like–big, small, handmade, bought–that part doesn’t matter. It truly is “the thought that counts.”

However, there is one cardinal rule you “must not do” in gift giving for Valentine’s Day. Any other time of year, there’s nothing wrong with this idea–but Valentine’s Day is different.

A cardinal rule never to forget—Do not give your sweetie the same thing you buy your mother for Valentine’s Day.

If you want to continue having fun in marriage, don’t break this rule. It can alter the fun factor in your marriage by at least a week or so while your mate is trying to forgive you.

What do you think? What other rules can you think of for Valentine’s Day?
