Movie Kisses

July26

Tip # 87

Life Imitates Art

Watching movies can be great fun, but what about those movie kisses? Are they for real? Well, most people would say “absolutely” if they were still dating. Hmmmm, what happens? Maybe people get busy and just don’t take time to kiss like that.

from Clipart.com

The longest movie kiss on record (that I could find in my research) was in a 1941 movie, You’re in the Army Now  between Jane Wyman and Regis Tommey. The kiss lasted over 3 minutes. In those early years of movies the dialog and the acting were a little different, and everything was overplayed—maybe that’s why that kiss was so long. (There is a current movie with a longer kiss, but it’s not one I would include for my list.)

Would you like to know more about all the memorable kisses from movies? Check out AMC’s filmsite:   http://www.filmsite.org/filmkisses.html

If movie kisses seem long forgotten to you, how about retracing some of those early years. See how long you can make one, continuous kiss last.

(Do you have a favorite movie kiss. We’d love to hear what you have to say!)
