Turn the Phone Off

Tip # 75

Date Night Ettiquette

from Clipart.com

Whether you go out for date night or stay in for date night, put your cell phones away. If you stay home, turn the ringers off on all the phones in the house. The almost only exception to this is if you have kids who are away and may need to reach you.

Everyone is busy, but focused time with your marriage partner with little change of interruption is important. To at least do this several times a year (if not once weekly or once a month) can avoid a lot of marriage counseling sessions. Your spouse is important. Treat the person that way.

(How often do you “date” with your spouse? Tell us your ideas below.)
