Serve Your Spouse

Tip # 49

Evening Delectables

from Clipart.com

Always keep a tray on hand, either fancy or plain—completely your preference–and maybe have several. If your tray is too plain, put a nice napkin in the bottom of it to jazz it up a little. (If you don’t have any type tray, use a turkey platter–but definitely with a decorative napkin over it).

Something fun to do is in the evenings when you are reading or watching TV or lounging about, serve your marriage partner and yourself a comfy tea or beverage along with nuts, small pieces of fruit, or a few whole grain crackers of some sort.  Keep it to something worthy of being “an evening delectable” so that you won’t have to fight not being able to go to sleep like when a person eats a huge bowl of ice cream just before going to bed (hey, I’m being practical here.)

Once in a while get extravagant and have a piece of gourmet dessert, but don’t do that too often or you’ll have to buy larger p.j.’s. Ask me how I know this.
