Fighting in Marriage

Tip # 47

If You Fight Like Neighborhood Cats and Dogs. . . .

from Clipart.com

More than likely you need animal control to come in and give you some marriage counseling.

However, I do not know how people can say “oh, we never fight.” When two people are in a marriage, they are never going to agree on everything. For those that absolutely do not fight, then usually one person is the one who acquiesces—it doesn’t mean they work out their disagreements equitably.

People will always have disagreements but there are definite ways to “fight” in marriage—and that doesn’t mean with a frying pan and rolling pin like they used to do in the old-time sitcoms.

No, look for outside help to guide you whether that’s through good counseling, books on communication, talking with people who will be honest with you, marriage books, and very important, learn to pray about it.
